Game On

MAR 27 - APR 19, 2014

Vinnie and Alvin care about the environment – almost as much as they care about winning at fantasy baseball. The two fast-talking sports fanatics sequester themselves in front of a ballgame in the media room of a swanky Los Altos home during a cocktail party to raise funds for green projects, certain of their path to success. But they just might be out of their league as they try to close the biggest deal of their lives. Will the venture save the earth, make them rich, or will Vinnie and Alvin strike out in the 9th?

The Big Meal

MAY 8 - JUN 1, 2014

In an ordinary restaurant, two people meet, fall in love, and begin this moving and hilarious story of five generations that captures the amazing and messy process of creating a life. As the decades fly past their simple dining table, the complexities of the modern American family are illuminated. Through the communal ritual of a family dinner, The Big Meal reminds us how entwined and significant our lives are to one another, while celebrating our universal experience with warmth and empathy.

Landscape With Weapon

JUN 19 - JUL 13, 2014

Are scientists morally responsible for the uses of their intellectual property? Ned, a genius aerospace engineer, wrestles with this question when he develops drone aircraft technology that claims to revolutionize modern combat, eliminate human error and lessen civilian casualties. Ned begins to suffer a crisis of conscience as his relationships deteriorate because of his invention. It’s not long before the conflict between profit and ethics causes him to question his beliefs about the wages of war.

The Complete History of Comedy (abridged)

JUL 22 - 27, 2014

Last seen on our stage in The Complete World of Sports (abridged), they've skewered history, the Bible and the world's most celebrated playwright. Now, the Reduced Shakespeare Company tackles the subject it was born to reduce. From the high-brow to the low, The Complete History of Comedy (abridged) covers comedy through the ages, from Aristophanes and Shakespeare and Moliere (Is Moliere funny? Why not?) to Vaudeville and Charlie Chaplin to The Daily Show and Anthony Weiner.
